CASTLE IN CO. DURHAM
Adelphi have been working with the owners of this Grade II* Listed castle in Co. Durham to submit a series of Listed Building Applications to repair the exterior of the building, re-roof the main lead roof and overhaul the Palm House. Thorough coordination with the Conservation Officer and Historic England was maintained as the proposals were developed. Work is due to start on site late 2025.

SPRINGFIELD LOFTS, NEWCASTLE
This project converted a former care home to 12No. high specification apartments offering private luxury living. Adelphi Architecture took over the planning process, and provided detailed design and delivery of the project.

Adelphi Architecture worked alongside Adelphi Consulting Engineer to provide a fully coordinated suite of services to deliver this £4m industrial extension project.
The extension was delivered whilst keeping the site fully operational, throughout the 9month construction period.
Birchholme is a Victorian Villa in a Conservation Area within Gateshead. Plans were developed to turn the derelict former 12 bed care home into a family home. The proposals included a new build orangery, conservatory, garage annexe, a 40m basement leisure wing and full redevelopment of the existing villa.
Rolle House is a Grade II* Building, originally built in 1717 as a school. This project redeveloped the estate to provide a contemporary family home within the historic manor house; complete with orangery extension, garage conversion, new build garage and barn conversion to apartments.

This project oversaw improved security proposals to the bridge which is Grade II* Listed and a Scheduled Monument. The process involved substantial involvement with Historic England and other stakeholders, alongside sympathetic design to ensure the character and aesthetic qualities of the bridge remained untouched.
NEW TOWNHOUSES, NEWCASTLE
Adelphi Architecture developed a scheme for 6No townhouses on the site of a former bingo club in Newcastle. The scheme secured planning in 2024 and is expected to be complete during 2025. The proposals incorporate an Insulated Concrete Wall (ICF) system as part of the construction method.
PRUDHOE HALL, NORTHUMBERLAND
Acting as Conservation Consultant on this 19th Century former mental hospital, to convert to 23No. apartments. Adelphi carried out an comprehensive condition survey of the 100+ rooms at the Hall, and produced a Heritage Impact Assessment in coordination with the Architects design for the conversion.

The project extends the existing primary academy to create a self sufficient Special Educational and Mental Health (SEMH) satellite teaching facility for use across the wider county. The proposed development is an important investment in educational provision in Middlesbrough delivering contemporary teaching facilities. Described by The Bungalow Partnership: "What a tranquil and nurturing environment! We could feel the sense of nurture as soon as we entered"
