PRUDHOE HALL, NORTHUMBERLAND
Acting as Conservation Consultant on this 19th Century former mental hospital, to convert to 23No. apartments. Adelphi carried out an comprehensive condition survey of the 100+ rooms at the Hall, and produced a Heritage Impact Assessment in coordination with the Architects design for the conversion.
SPRINGFIELD LOFTS, NEWCASTLE
Due for completion Autumn 2023, this project converted a former care home to 12No. serviced apartments. Adelphi provided planning support, technical design and on site coordination throughout the project.
Adelphi Architecture worked alongside Adelphi Consulting Engineer to provide a fully coordinated suite of services to deliver this £4m industrial extension project.
The coordination of this extension was developed whilst keeping the site fully operational, throughout the 9month construction period.
Birchholme is a Victorian Villa in a Conservation Area within Gateshead. Plans were developed to turn the derelict former 12 bed care home into a family home. The proposals included a new build orangery, conservatory, garage annexe, a 40m basement leisure wing and full redevelopment of the existing villa.
Rolle House is a Grade II* Building, originally built in 1717 as a school. This project redeveloped the estate to provide a contemporary family home within the historic manor house; complete with orangery extension, garage conversion, new build garage and barn conversion to apartments.
This project oversaw improved security proposals to the bridge which is Grade II* Listed and a Scheduled Monument. The process involved substantial involvement with Historic England and other stakeholders, alongside sympathetic design to ensure the character and aesthetic qualities of the bridge remained untouched.
Causeway, gateshead
Plans were developed to convert this former pub into 9No serviced apartments. The scheme included a small infill extension and a complete shelling of the interiors. The two storey building is to be reconfigured as three storeys with the addition of new dormers to create loft style living.
Private House, Sutton coldfield
This house in Sutton Coldfield is a late 14th Century Grade II* Listed building. Adelphi have secured planning for a sensitively designed new build oak frame garage within the garden. Other phases include designs for a basement extension to minimise heritage impact on the main listed house.
green lane primary, teesside
The project extends the existing primary academy to create a self sufficient Special Educational and Mental Health (SEMH) satellite teaching facility for use across the wider county. The proposed development will represent an important investment in educational provision in Middlesbrough through the provision of contemporary teaching facilities.
