Adelphi Architecture is a North East based architectural studio specialising in high quality, client focussed, architectural design services; founded and led by Joanna Pullan, a RIBA Accredited Conservation Architect.

 

Our experience covers a range of sectors, with a specialism in heritage sector work. Regardless of the size or nature of the project, we provide our clients with a personal service complimented by our experience.

We offer full design services taking projects from inception to completion. We have a pragmatic approach to all stages of a project resulting in cost effective, innovative and considered solutions.

We have a sister company, Adelphi Consulting Engineers, meaning we are capable of offering a full architectural and engineering package for clients. Adelphi Consulting Engineers can offer a full range of structural services; led by Mark Turner and Bruce Horsburgh- the first CARE Accredited Conservation Engineer in the North East- they have exceptional heritage experience and skills.

Joanna is a RIBA Accredited Conservation Architect who has spent over 10 years working in the North East and South of England, gaining significant experience in both the design of new buildings and the preservation of listed buildings. She manages the Adelphi team from her Northumberland based studio.

​She prides herself on the personal services she brings to all projects, big or small. Having worked on multi-million pound World Heritage Sites down to the smallest of repair projects, she tailors her approach and touch depending on the specific client and project requirements. With all of Adelphi’s projects being Director coordinated, Joanna makes sure she is never more than an email or phone call away to ensure efficient project delivery.  

Joanna has a very pragmatic approach to projects, combining this with her creative skills she is above to deliver a cost effective solutions that can be delivered within budget and programme.

She is heavily involved at the outset of projects, reviewing the brief to ensure that she fully understands what her clients wishes to achieve, and prides herself on delivering a service second to none. ​

Joanna’s career path has been somewhat atypical having spent 5 years working for a Consulting Engineers, and a number of years working in the South of England. This has given her vast exposure to high calibre heritage projects allowing her the skills to successful deliver even the most sensitive of schemes.

Joanna is a Board Trustee and Vice Treasurer for the Northumbria Historic Churches Trust and is a member of the Newcastle Conservation Advisory Panel (NCAP)
